Year 12 pupils represented the Business Studies department at the Brent Cross Retail Challenge.

On Thursday 29th June, a group Year 12 pupils represented the Business Studies department and took part in the annual Brent Cross Retail Challenge.

This was a challenging programme where pupils visited two contrasting retail settings: Waitrose and Zara to create a suitable Human Resource Plan for their chosen retailer.

The Finchley students had to pitch their strategy to an independent judging panel including Touker Suleyman entrepreneur and investor from Dragons’ Den. They competed against four other local Barnet schools. Our Sixth Form students rose to meet the demands of this exciting challenge. The judging panel was impressed with the students giving really positive feedback. For our students this was an invaluable opportunity to gain inspiration from the retail industry and all of them thoroughly enjoyed the day. The pupils involved were Matteo Rimini, Fintan O’Riordan, Elliot McDonagh, Jessica Ghaghda, Tim McMorrow, George Sheehan, Jessica Toledano, Naomi Adesanya, Daniel Majekodunmi and Bryan Azanthe-Kpemou. Well done to all involved.
