Remy Mohamed, solicitor and Grenfell Project Co-ordinator, is the first speaker in our INSIGHTS lecture series which begins today.
We are delighted to announce our new INSIGHTS lecture series. These lectures are led by expert specialists who are eminent in their fields, and aim to stretch pupils by discussing a diverse range of topical or academic subjects. This is part of our ongoing commitment to stretching and challenging our most able students and are a real privilege for students to attend.
From our professional experience, the uptake of these opportunities is a crucial factor in ensuring the success of our pupils in securing places to study at top universities.
Our first INSIGHT will be led by Remy Mohamed. It will be fascinating to hear Remy talk about her journey from school to her current employment at INQUEST and the ups and downs along the way. INQUEST is a charity providing expertise on state related deaths and their investigation for bereaved people, lawyers, advice and support agencies, the media and parliamentarians.
Remy joined INQUEST as a volunteer caseworker in May 2017 and became the Grenfell Project Coordinator in November 2017. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2005 and has over 12 years of experience in criminal defence law specialising in representing children and vulnerable adults. She is passionate about Human Rights, The Rule of Law and Access to Justice. She volunteers with a number of community outreach projects and is President of the Association of Muslim Lawyers.
All students are warmly invited for our opening lecture. Please encourage your son/daughter to attend.
