I see my role as providing academic and pastoral support for all pupils in the year group. My aim is to ensure that all pupils are provided with the opportunity to fulfill their potential despite their different backgrounds, while also developing their confidence and interpersonal skills. One of my main aims in year 13 is to provide pupils with support in their 'next steps' be it paid employment, apprenticeships, a gap year or university applications by ensuring pupils are provided with a wide variety of opportunities to help them make the right choice.
Mr C Prendergast
Sixth form is an important time when students begin to make the decisions about their future pathways. My role as the Pastoral Leader for Year 12, together with the sixth form tutor team, is to offer pastoral care and create a supportive environment in which students are able to pursue their interests and develop their skills both inside and outside of the classroom. We actively encourage students to contribute positively to the life of the Sixth Form and to the wider life of our school and local community.
Ms A Peerbacos
As Sixth Form Administrator, I am responsible for guiding students through our own admissions process, issuing timetables, distributing bursary funds and gathering the necessary health & safety data relating to work shadowing. I am first port of call for student medical needs and developing positive habits of attendance and punctuality which are key to success in school and in later life. Ms I Cronin
My role as Sixth form Supervised study lead and Sixth form mentor means I spend much of my time with students throughout the school day. I work closely with students implementing and monitoring strategies to raise aspirations and attainment in students whilst also developing their skills both inside and outside of the classroom. I see myself as a role model for our students who strives to encourage progression to Higher Education and beyond. Together with the sixth form team, I offer pastoral care and create a supportive environment for all of our students here at FCHS.
