Assistant Catering Manager

30 hours a week, 8am-3pm - Five days a week, term-time plus one week


  • Salary Point 15 - £29,214 FTE actual pro rata £20,669
  • NOR: 1250 | 325 in 6th Form

As Assistant Catering Manager you will play a crucial role in preparing and providing a high quality food and drink service to the school community and to deputise in the Catering Manager’s absence. The ideal candidate will:

  • Need to manage and work well as part of the team
  • Be friendly and have a positive 'Can-do' attitude
  • Have a passion for food and quality service
  • Drive standards with a hands-on approach
  • Have excellent hygiene and health and safety practices
  • Be self-motivated and able to work in a busy environment
  • Experience in preparing and serving food, within a school kitchen (desirable)
  • Have a good command of the English Language
  • Be flexible, adapting easily to changing priorities
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills; which are essential as you will be dealing with staff, students, parents, and suppliers
