Curriculum Leader for Geography

Our school is a very highly regarded and heavily oversubscribed comprehensive school. We have a strong community ethos and we are committed to ensuring the best learning opportunities and experiences for all students. The Geography department is a collegiate department, which has a record of excellent examination results, well above national averages, securing the following outcomes in 2023:

  • At GCSE, 80% of students secured a pass at Grade 5 and above
  • At A level, 85% of students secured a grade A*- C

The governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and talented individual to lead an enthusiastic team of teachers to support the achievement of outstanding curriculum opportunities and outcomes for our students.

We require:

  • An enthusiastic and passionate teacher able to teach across all key stages;
  • A candidate who can provide high quality leadership across a team, working collaboratively in delivering an outstanding curriculum for our students;
  • A clear vision of how the Geography department can develop further;
  • A commitment to high quality, creative teaching and learning supported by excellent planning and assessment;
  • A collegiate approach and a commitment to working as a member of a team;
  • A commitment to the development of the whole person.
