Congratulations to Daniel in Year 13 who was declared overall winner at the Catenians’ National Public Speaking Competition at the weekend.
The final was held at the Manchester Conference Centre on Sunday and was the culmination of numerous regional heats. Daniel’s winning speech explored the importance of foreign aid and he was praised by judges for his excellent stage presence and the pertinence of his content.
Daniel, who is our current Head Boy, said: “I am a bit shocked to have won as the standard was very high but I am really happy to have been selected.”
We are very proud of Daniel for the work he has put in to secure this well-deserved and prestigious accolade.
