Exam Results

We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students at Finchley Catholic High School. Their unwavering dedication to their studies has yielded impressive results, and we couldn't be prouder.

GCSE Results

GCSE students in 2023 achieved an outstanding Progress 8 score of +1.17 which is the 28th highest score nationally out of nearly 7,000 secondary schools. Our attainment 8 score was 62.1

  • The progress of students in Maths was outstanding.  Overall, students achieved a Progress 8 score of +1.04. 45% of students achieved Grade 7 or above.
  • The progress of students in English was outstanding. Overall, students achieved a Progress 8 score of +1.01. 48% of students achieved Grade 7 or above.
  • 86% of students scored a Grade 4 or above in both English and Maths and 76% of students scored a Grade 5 or above in both English and Maths.
  • 88% of all grades awarded were above 4, 80% of grades were above 5 and 43% of all grades awarded were at 9–7.
  • The progress of students with SEND was +1.07.

A Level Results 

Our A Level students have once again demonstrated their dedication and determination, achieving outstanding results. We are delighted to share that the vast majority secured their first-choice university placements, apprenticeships, or other chosen pathways

  • 26% of grades were A*-A
  • 58% of grades were A*-B
  • Average grade B-

While progress data for 2023 is not being published, we would like to stress that many of our A Level students achieved exceptional progress scores, exceeding their individual subject targets.
