Entrance Criteria
The following pathways are available at Finchley Catholic High School Sixth Form and students must meet the entrance criteria to gain a place:

| GCSE average points score of 7.5 or above | (Optional) Four Level 3 qualifications Enrichment Programme |
| GCSE average points score of 6 or above | Three Level 3 qualifications Extended Project Qualification Enrichment programme |
| GCSE average points score of 5 or above | Three Level 3 qualifications Enrichment programme |
Level 3 students must ensure the following:
- Average GCSE score of 5 points or above across all subjects including grade Grade 5 in English Language OR English Literature AND Grade 5 in Maths.
- If no specific criteria listed below, then students should have a Grade 5 in the subject at GCSE.
*** The exceptions to this are A Levels in Economics, Politics, Psychology and Sociology. - If you are interested in studying a subject which you have not studied at GCSE, then this can be discussed at your consultation meeting.
- A positive reference from your current school, which reflects your positive attitude to learning and contribution to the school.

| Biology | Grade 7 in Biology or 77 in Combined Science Trilogy |
| Chemistry | Grade 7 in Chemistry or 77 in Combined Science Trilogy |
| Computer Science | Grade 6 in Maths and either a Grade 6 in Computer Science or an acceptable portfolio presented before the end of the Summer Term |
| Economics | Grade 6 in English Literature/Language and Grade 6 in Maths |
| English Literature | Grade 6 in English Language and Grade 6 in English Literature |
| French | Grade 7 in French |
| Further Maths | Grade 8 in Maths |
| Maths | Grade 7 in Maths |
| Music | Grade 6 in Music or Grade 5 in a musical instrument and theory |
| Photography | Grade 6 in Art or an acceptable portfolio presented before the end of the summer term |
| Physics | Grade 7 in Physics or 77 in Combined Science Trilogy |
| Psychology | Grade 6 in Biology or 66 in Combined Science Trilogy |
| Spanish | Grade 7 in Spanish |
Please be aware:
Students can only take Art or Photography - not both subjects.
Any GCSEs studied outside of school count towards your Average Points Scores (APS).
