Finchley Futures

In the Sixth Form, the Careers Programme is a bespoke programme of activities that are organised and structured within the framework of the Finchley Future Programme.

We are deeply committed to ensuring that our students receive comprehensive information, guidance, and advice to empower them in making well-informed decisions about their prospective career pathway.

	Future University & Further Study Within the Future University strand, students receive information, advice and guidance to support them in their exploration and management of further and higher education. Students are encouraged to be both aspirational and grounded in their exploration.
	Future Apprenticeships and Technical Within the Future Apprenticeship and Technical strand, students receive information, advice and guidance to support them in their exploration and management of work related and alternative pathways including technical qualifications. Students are encouraged to fully research the merits of work related and alternative choices and evaluate their own pathways.
	Future Work & Employment Within the Future Work & Employment strand, students are provided with valuable assistance to enhance their employability skills and gain hands-on work shadowing or practical experience. Students are actively encouraged to engage in self-reflection, enabling them to pinpoint areas in need of improvement and formulate a clear roadmap outlining the necessary steps to enhance their competencies.
	Future Careers Discovery & Development Within the Careers Discovery & Development strand, students are urged to explore a diverse spectrum of career paths and employment opportunities. Students are encouraged to utilise labour market information as a valuable resource to aid them in making well-informed choices regarding their career paths.
